This is the only park in the world within the proximity of a country’s capital city with a wide variety of animals. It is managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), which aims at conserving the Kenyan wildlife for the people. It is 117 square kilometers in size and is located 7 km from the city center.
There are over 100 mammal species including buffalos, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, baboons, wildebeest and the black rhino which is an endangered species. There are also over 400 migratory and endemic bird species in the park.
Other major attractions in the park include the Ivory Burning Site Monument, Nairobi Safari Walk, the Orphanage, a three star Rangers restaurant and accommodation facilities. This is a perfect place for bush dinners, weddings, picnics, team building activities, video and film production.
